Christian Themes
For paintings with Christian themes, I found that acrylics are more suitable, due to the vibrant colours and the ability to use them in the same way as ‘oils’.
A lot of the paintings have been quite large, and the way the acrylics behave can produce a good strong effect with many variations over the whole canvas. Because the paint can be used in the same way as watercolours to form a glaze, a deep rich finish is easy to achieve.
